Brief Biography of the Organizer:

Prof. Hassan Qudrat-Ullah received the B.Sc. from University of the Punjab, Pakistan, the M. Sc. from Bhauddin Zakariya University, Multan, Pakistan, the M. Phil. from University of Bergen, Norway, and the Ph.D, from NUS Business School, National University of Singapore. Prior to his appointment at York University, he was Post-Doctoral Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University (2002-2003).His research interests include dynamic decision making, system dynamics modeling, computer-simulated interactive learning environments, and energy planning models. He has published more than 20 papers in Journals and Conferences. His edited volume (with Mike and Davidsen) entitled Complex Decision Making: Theory and Practice is to be published in 2006. The courses he teaches on Quantitative Methods, Decision Analysis, Logistics Management, and Advanced Decision Making benefit from his research on and experience with organizations in Canada, Pakistan, Norway, Singapore, and the US. Hassan continues to serve as ad hoc reviewer for Energy, Asia-Pacific Journal of Management, and International Journal of Global Energy Issues. Hassan has received the award of Atkinson Research Fellowship in 2005.
