Brief Biography of the Organizer:
Anping Xu is a professor of the School of Mechanical Engineering, Hebei University of Technology. He received a M.S. degree and a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Hebei University of Technology (China) in 1993, and Tianjin University in 1998, respectively. He worked as a visiting scientist at the University of Connecticut (USA) from Nov. 2003 through May 2004. He is an active senior member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES). His research interests include CAD/CAM, design for rapid prototyping, heterogeneous object modeling, and machining process simulation. He has authored or co-authored over 40 refereed journal papers and over 10 conference papers.
