The field of medicine contains a rich set
of challenging optimization problems and offers an excellent
opportunity for optimization specialists to team with physicians
(radiation oncologists, medical physicists, …etc) to develop new and
effective solutions to those problems. The Session will bring
together researchers from the fields of optimization, medicine
(radiation oncology, medical physics, ..etc) to solve fundamental
optimization problems arising medicine. The Session will have the
following goals:
