Good health, the same joy of living as always and successful multi conferences as usual. I took part in Conference in Corfu in July, from whom I do have the best recollections. At the moment I have significant changes in life, in October there were Parliament election in Latvia, and now I am elected as a Member of Parliament for the next four years. Our fraction is the group of Premier Valdis Dombrovskis with 1/3 of 100 members of Parliament. I am working in two significant commissions: a) Budget and Finance (Taxation) committee; b) Public Expenditure and Audit committee. It is new and not easy occupation for me, but I have fit in. The most important is that members of Parliament are allowed to do research and educational work. Therefore I hope that in summer (July or August) I could come to Corfu or Florenze with my four PhD students. In that case I could give a plenary talk and my students could organize a joint mini symposium. Sincerely yours, Andris Buikis. ******************************************************************** From: Irwin W. Please inform me if you receive it: As you know, I am too interested to cooperate in academic activities specially in international conferences of WSEAS. I have been involved in WSEAS for over 10 years (Since 2000). I also tried to carry on a WSEAS conference in IRAN, but as you saw, many participants neglect their trip to IRAN. So I decide to work outside of IRAN. Currently I cooperate with ISEL in Lisbon and I am going to carry on a workshop there. Like this cooperation with ISEL, I like to work in your organization and I can cooperate with you in some abroad conferences during the year or carry on a course at your university. So I want to know if you have any suggestion for my decision and can you offer me any vacancy? Please, tell it to every colleague. We run the WSEAS in a non-for-profit base In an attempt to include the WSEAS Journals in ISI the WSEAS Journals are entirely independent from the WSEAS Conferences. Authors can send (upload) their papers to WSEAS Transactions regardless of whether they have attended a WSEAS conference or not. Also the WSEAS Transactions are the only open access journals in the world where the Authors do not pay any kind of registration fees (i.e. the full PDF files of the papers are permanantly open for everybody, without any restrictions, while the authors are not charged with any kind of registration fees). The Editors-in-Chief, being assisted by the members of the Editorial Boards, are the absolute decision makers for the acceptance or not of the submitted papers. WSEAS simply prints out the papers in hard copies and also uploads them on the web. I was much honored to be a special session organizer of this important conference, especially at this place of Corfu Island, which has significant part of history of my country, Serbia. I hope that in the near future, maybe next CSCC 2012, I could collect more papers than for had in this session, but I'm still satisfied. There were nine papers in this session and they came from three Universities (University of Belgrade - Serbia, Eindhoven University of Technology – Holland and University of Nis – Serbia). Not all authors came from academia, but also from electric power industry. One of our collegues took a lot of pictures from this session I will collect them when I return to Belgrade. Yes, I'm still on Corfu, since I'm on vacation with my family. I will send you a CD with photos from my session (please provide me your address where you would like to get it). I thank you for kind hospitality of Greek people all the time. I wish I could a relationship with these people. According to our conversation during the Corfu meeting, I like to work with your organization more than a volunteer colleague in one conference at Secretariat desk. For example: 1) I can hold some conferences on behalf of you which you can not attend in some countries. 2) I can hold a special course over there or do a common research project 3) Or any other activity which you have in your mind. So if you will, say me how can I cooperate with you specially in case 1. Regarding to the photos which shahriar gave to you, I want to remind you if you want to upload some of them on the site, as you know our situation in IRAN, please select some official of those photos if I am in the picture, otherwise no problem. Say hello to Maria and keep in mind about my talk to her and you. My father and mother say hello to all of you and welcome to you whenever you like to travel to IRAN. Also I want to know the condition of employing in university over there as academic staff. If you can help me in this regard, I will appreciate.
