Topics:
Papers are sought in the area of compact heat exchangers. Research and applied papers are desired. Types of exchangers include finned tubes, plate heat exchangers, plate and frame exchangers and spiral heat exchangers, just to name a few. Areas of study include heat and momentum transfer semi-empirical correlations, fin efficiency analysis, computational fluid dynamics, experimental methods, literature reviews, numerical heat transfer, and more. Unique and novel work is sought, and must not have been published previously.

Brief Biography of the guest editor:
Richard Carranza is a consultant in the chemical processing and petroleum refining industries. He has a BA in Chemistry from Cornell College in Iowa, an MS in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, in Houston, Texas. Mr. Carranza has specific work experience in process hydraulics, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, simulation, and pressure relief systems. He has also been a full time and part time professor teaching courses in subjects such as chemical engineering, chemistry, economics and finance.
